Maya Zane Kaisth is an interdisciplinary artist and curator working in painting, sculpture, and installation. Maya fosters connectivity between herself and her viewers by creating works that play with abstracted elements of nature. As a biracial woman, Maya’s experience in curation allows her to showcase important social and political issues through the organizing of exhibitions that highlight diversity, equity and inclusion.
“I like to think of my work as creating magic. To me, magic is a moment of connection. This connection could be a quiet moment with yourself, a peaceful reflection upon the natural world, or the creation of a shared space of comfort between you and me as artist and viewer. I strive to bring joy and beauty to the world with my paintings, sculptures and installations, and I strive to change the social landscape of our world through curation.”
